Rose Bedding, Comforter Sets and Bedroom Decor

rose bedding and comforter sets

GO HERE FOR MORE

We have some rose bedroom decorations that with the perfect rose bedding set will bathe your private retreat with a colorful yet peaceful atmosphere that is well suited to the notions of a teenage girl who may be ready to replace her room’s girlish decor with something more romantic.

Red rose comforter sets speak the language of love without the worry of falling petals and refilling vases with water that seems to evaporate overnight. If red is not your cup of tea, a blush rose comforter set in a pleasing shade of pink might be more to your liking. Black and pink rose bedding sets can be just as esthetically pleasing and dramatic as black and red rose comforter sets but much better for a young girl’s boudoir.

A cheap way to decorate the remainder of the bedroom in keeping with the red rose comforter set, is to arrange rose wall stickers over the headboard (or in place of a headboard) or over the dresser or door frame. The decals don't have to be an exact match, but staying in the same color family would be wise.

UNDER THE SEA BEDDING and BEDROOM DECORATIONS

under the sea tropical fish bedding sets and decor

GO HERE FOR MORE

What are your options in under the sea bedding and bedroom decorations? I have some decorating ideas that will have dreams of tropical fish and coral reefs dancing (or should I say swimming?) in your teenage girl’s dreams no matter what your budget may be.

STYLE

It might surprise you to know that the landscape that is hidden under the waves of the ocean is just as diverse as the one we are familiar with on dry land. The species of sea creatures and fish number in the thousands if not millions even with the rate of extinction rising at an alarming rate. Before you begin the decorative process, ask your sea loving princess what her preference might be.
Once your tween moves beyond Sponge Bob and Little Mermaid under the sea bedding and decor, her taste in under the sea bedding will more than likely be less fanciful and more about sun, surf, sailing and sea creatures.

FISH

The first thing that comes to mind when designing an underwater bedroom would be fish. The question is whether angel fish, whales or dolphin bedroom decorations are preferred. Environmentally active individuals appreciate the beauty of whale bedding sets far beyond the blue, pink and purple whale under the sea crib bedding sets of the baby’s nursery. And I have noticed an increase in requests for dolphin bedding sets since swimming with these intelligent sea creatures became a popular vacation activity. Then others seem to want their bedroom to be decorated as one big salt water aquarium with an assortment of tropical fish swimming in underwater murals and in the fabric design of their under the sea bedding set.

COLOR

When decorating an under the sea bedroom for kids, color isn’t an issue as we mentioned earlier in this decorating article. But once children reach the teenage years, they prefer more realistic decorations. As you might imagine, killer whale and dolphin bedding sets offer decorating possibilities in shades of gray, black, ocean blue with touches of white and yellow. For more color, focus on decorations and fabrics printed with tropical fish and coral reefs.

UNDER THE SEA DECORATIONS and DECOR

Decorators on a budget need only to organize a trip to the beach or a scuba diving expedition to gather unique and interesting underwater decorations. Seashells, starfish and driftwood displayed on the walls framed as art or displayed on shelves are natural, appropriate and for the most part, free.

Home Improvement - Do It Yourself - Home Remodeling |

Hitting your sprinkler head with your lawn mower does not win you the Nobel Prize. However it also is not the stupidest thing in the world. I have my lawn mower height set so that it is high enough to pass over all of my Sprinkler heads. however age and the sandy soil of central Florida can work its way into the sleeve. (The area between the casing and the pop-up portion of the sprinkler head) This added friction could slow the pop-up from retreating back into it's hole, stop it part way or completely out.
In my case it stuck up about an extra inch. Which was just enough to tear up the the top 1/4 inch of the head and turn my sprinkler into a fountain.

DECORATING IDEAS FOR PURPLE ZEBRA BEDDING with a RETRO FEEL

Is purple zebra bedding a good choice for a teenage girl’s bedroom? How do you decorate around a zebra comforter with all that wild print and color in a way that won’t make your head spin?

purple zebra shower curtain bathroom decorating ideas

These are all questions that I’m asked by moms when their daughters go crazy over a purple and black zebra print bedding set. Mothers want their tweens and teens to take part and have a say in the decisions made in decorating their rooms. But, they are not experienced enough to know how to accessorize and coordinate patterns that will allow the girls to design an attractive room based on the bedspread they choose.

The biggest decorating mistake that could be made is to buy up lots of zebra print decorations thinking that’s what is needed to go with the purple zebra bedding set. That many stripes in one small bedroom are enough to make you dizzy.

The comforter, dust ruffle and pillows in the purple zebra bedding require a solid color wall and accessories so that the decor doesn’t conflict with the striped print. For a sophisticated look, ebony wood, black lacquer and ceramics are an excellent choice.

Younger teenage girls might prefer funky over chic. If that’s the case, vinyl wall flowers in a 60s retro style might work. Refer to the pictures for decorating ideas. Purple flowers with bold, black polka dot centers stay in keeping with your color scheme but the shapes are sufficiently removed from the striped pattern in the purple zebra bedding set to provide contrast rather than confusion.

How to Decorate a Bedroom on a Budget

GO HERE FOR MORE

Money is tight but your teenage girl's bedroom decor has become outdated; you need to know how to decorate a bedroom on a budget. Teenage girls’ tastes change almost as often as they change their outfits. Frugal decorating tips are needed for decorators in a financial pinch to easily accommodate the rapidly evolving trends.

THE WALL

When it comes to decorating a bedroom on a budget; paint is your friend. Painting the walls puts a whole new complexion on an area for a very cheap price. If your walls are already painted in a color that you can work with but there are a few damaged spots cover them with posters or some colorful wall decals specially designed for use in kids rooms.

FRUGAL FURNITURE

Refurbishing bedroom furniture to reflect the styles of the day is one of the best, inexpensive bedroom ideas we can offer. Paint that pencil post bed neon orange or electric blue and watch the way that your daughter’s eyes light up! What was shabby a minute ago can be made totally chic with some bright paint and imagination.

CHEAP BEDDING

Tween and Teenage girls’ bedroom sets can be flashy and fun without the expensive price tag. The key is to time your bedroom makeover for when you are most likely to have an excellent selection of complete bed ensembles offered at deep discounts. Sale shopping for bedding and floor covering will take a big bite out of the cost of your bedroom makeover.

There’s no definitive way to tell a decorator how to decorate a bedroom on a budget without knowing what style of décor they are working toward. The tips I shared in this article are very basic but should give you a good idea where to start cutting corners while still giving your teenage girls a bedroom they can be proud of.

BLACK AND WHITE POLKA DOT BEDDING and DECOR

black and white polka dot bedding and bedroom decor

GO HERE FOR MORE

You don’t need me to tell you that black and white polka dot bedding is eye catching and cool. But polka dots alone can be rather limited in their decorative abilities in teenage girls’ bedrooms.

For a polka dot print to truly live up to its potential, a DIY decorator must be savvy enough and have a sufficient level of experience in the combination of patterns to pair polka dots with other fabrics.

Before you toss in the towel and give up on your plans to decorate your bedroom in dots; allow me share a few decorating ideas that will give you professionally decorated results without the pain of a steep learning curve.

The first tip would be that a set of black and white polka dot bedding does not constitute a bedroom theme. Break things up with black and white striped walls, black wallies on a painted white wall or something in a toile print. So long as you stay in keeping with the monochromatic black and white design there’s little you can do that will result in a decorating disaster.

Once you have the basics of the black and white bedroom design in place, it’s time to add a few pops of color. The great news is that black and white comforter sets give you lots of leeway as far as what color you might want. BUT, you should select one and at the very most two accent colors. That’s the worst of it. The best thing is that those colors can be as wild and funky and over the top as you want to make them.

Fuchsia and hot pink is a favorite with tweens and teenage girls for their bedrooms. But don’t rule out lime green, teal or turquoise or even orange. Black and white polka dot bedding when properly accessorized is suitable for girls from high school sophomores to sorority girls. The broad range of appeal is crucial for getting as much mileage from your decorating dollar so if you are a frugal person, an inexpensive black and white polka dot bed in a bag might prove to be one of the best decorating decisions that you could ever make.

PINK ZEBRA and CHEETAH PRINT BEDDING

pink zebra and cheetah print bedding and comforter sets

Pink zebra bedding is capable of standing alone in a bedroom, but if you want to give the room that added touch of whimsy and sparkle; throw in some pink cheetah or leopard print.

Watch your teenage girl's eyes pop and the decor in her bedroom blast off in a wild and swirling fashion that before now has been limited to professionally decorated rooms.

As the example in the picture demonstrates, prints are dying to be mixed and mingled to give a space added interest. One of the most difficult lessons that any decorator learns is how to successfully blend fabric patterns without creating a confused mess that completely defeats the purpose. Often the results resemble an explosion of a consignment store rather than an orderly blend of shapes and designs in complementary colors.

Go ahead try your hand at combining pink zebra, leopard and cheetah print bedding and see what you come up with. The key is to pay close attention to balance and to add colors in other areas of the bedroom that will prevent the pink from putting your guests in a cotton candy coma.

BLACK and SILVER BEDROOMS and DECOR

Black and Silver Bedrooms Bedding and Comforter Sets

GO HERE FOR MORE

Fans of black and silver bedrooms rejoice! The powers that be heard your cries and have made great strides to meet your demands. Black bedding for girls with touches of silver that will make even the most hardened decorators get excited and jittery with anticipation in pondering the decorating possibilities.

BLACK AND SILVER BEDROOMS and BEDDING

These exotic bed linens may be too mature for bedroom decorating projects for kids. But, surely older girls can appreciate the play of the swirling, twirling designs over the solid black background. It’s sophisticated and it’s not pink; what’s not to love? Think of it as a great way to get floral without the explosion of pastels.

BLACK AND SILVER WALLPAPER

So, you’ve got a solid black comforter set and you would like to incorporate it into a black and silver bedroom design to get a few more miles out of bedspread that you already have. The best suggestion in my little box of tricks would be a few rolls of wallpaper. Paper a wall or two with black and silver wallpaper and you will find that you have virtually the same effect that a black and silver bed set would afford.

ACCESSORIES

Sparsely display vases and area rugs in either silver or black, not both. And you may want to consider a large, framed mirror to reflect and add to the natural light to prevent the black and silver bedroom from becoming too dark and to give the illusion of space.
